Speech Therapy
Speech therapy, also referred to as speech-language pathology, is the health science dealing with the evaluation of speech, language, and voice disorders and the rehabilitation of patients with such disorders. Speech therapists focus on the treatment of problems relating to swallowing and diet.
Occupational Therapy
Occupational therapy is the health science of aiding individuals with impairments or disabilities in the areas of musculoskeletal, sensorimotor, cognitive, and psychosocial functioning through the use of therapeutic exercise and activities, modalities, compensatory strategies, splinting and adaptive equipment. The goal of occupational therapy is to restore and/or enhance an individual’s ability to perform activities of daily living, work, and leisure activities in order to promote maximum independence and quality of life.
Physical Therapy
Physical therapy is the health science that deals with the preservation, enhancement, or restoration of movement and physical function to persons with disability, injury, or disease. Physical Therapy utilizes therapeutic exercise, physical modalities, manual therapy, assistive devices, and patient education and training to restore pain-free functional mobility.
