Therapy and Rehabilitation

Three Rivers Healthcare and Rehabilitation’s Rehab to Home program for short-term skilled stays combines the expertise of experienced Physical/Speech/Occupational therapists with individualized therapy programs developed to meet your functional needs and goals for a quick return home. Our 1800 square foot therapy gym is fitted with technologically-advanced equipment to ensure a short rehabilitation stay within a goal-oriented environment. The gym is divided into specially constructed and designed work areas to promote the recovery process. Rehab to Home residents are engaged in active stimulation and functional exercises and therapies developed with transitioning safely back to their home environment. The therapy specialists will move you through an aggressive program that fosters rapid recovery, a return to previous functioning (when possible), and provide you with the physical and mental tools necessary to succeed upon discharge. Simply put, your goals are our goals.

Speech Therapy

Speech therapy, also referred to as speech-language pathology, is the health science dealing with the evaluation of speech, language, and voice disorders and the rehabilitation of patients with such disorders. Speech therapists focus on the treatment of problems relating to swallowing and diet.

Occupational Therapy

Occupational therapy is the health science of aiding individuals with impairments or disabilities in the areas of musculoskeletal, sensorimotor, cognitive, and psychosocial functioning through the use of therapeutic exercise and activities, modalities, compensatory strategies, splinting and adaptive equipment. The goal of occupational therapy is to restore and/or enhance an individual’s ability to perform activities of daily living, work, and leisure activities in order to promote maximum independence and quality of life.

Physical Therapy

Physical therapy is the health science that deals with the preservation, enhancement, or restoration of movement and physical function to persons with disability, injury, or disease. Physical Therapy utilizes therapeutic exercise, physical modalities, manual therapy, assistive devices, and patient education and training to restore pain-free functional mobility.
